This weekend’s Trifextra is community-judged.
- For the 12 hours following the close of the challenge, voting will be enabled on links.
- Come back to this post to vote.
- Voting is open to everyone.
- Encourage your friends to vote for you, if you wish, but please don’t tell them to vote on a number. The numbering of the posts changes regularly, as authors have the ability to delete their own links at any time.
- Due to the limitations (our opinion) of our linking service, you are unable to vote on a post from the same device from which it was submitted. You will have to find another way to vote for yourself, and we hope you do.
- This week, in an attempt to break the massive ties that we have seen in the past, we are allowing you to vote on your top threefavorite posts.
- Yes, you really only have 12 hours to vote. We’ll send out reminders on Twitter and Facebook.
For your prompt this week, we are giving you the first 33 words of a story. You need to complete it with 33 of your own words.
“There’s nothing cute about it,” he said. The register of his voice indicated decision more so than discussion.
She disagreed heartily and privately, staring past his head and out the window behind him.
“It’s just a job.” She smiled as she helped herself to the cash in his wallet, then turned and walked out of the hotel room leaving him naked and tied to the bed.
If I had a dollar for every time…
Great take, sandylikeabeach! Love the responses you get to these challenges!
You’d have bus fare or enough to retire on? Don’t leave me hanging like that!
Wait – tied and hanging?!?
Don’t you usually pay extra for that?
It’s a good idea to negotiate these things up front.
And there you go! Perfect!
It just came to me while I was in bed this morning. Then I had to read all of the submissions to make sure it hadn’t already been done. I don’t want to be a copycat.
Smartass.
You’ve discovered the real me.
What a creative response to the challenge! I can almost see it happening…not like I want to, but you know what I mean.
Sometimes being tied to a bed can go horribly wrong.
Yes, but is it worth it?
Not if it goes horribly wrong.
Great entry, Sandy. You are totally warped, though.
I’m thinking that’s better than being partially warped.
Absolutely. I would NEVER want you to veer to the right. Or to the Right.
Highly unlikely. It’s like NASCAR – only left turns are allowed.
What? A girl’s gotta make a living, right?
So true!
Loved this one! A bit naughty and a whole lot funny.
Thanks, Sights!
OH my! You made me blush. Good job!
Thank you and thanks for stopping by, Mags!
Bravo Sandy!
Thanks, Linda!
Reminds me of my neighbors next door, decades ago.
You had some interesting neighbors, Gene. Thanks for stopping by.
That’s putting it mildly. GLad I stopped by.
Good one! Unexpected take on the prompt, but I love it!
Thanks, Sandra.
Very nice! I LIKE this.
Thank you, Amelia.
I laughed at this one! Well done!
So glad I was able to make you laugh, Frank.
Loved it!
Thanks, Ted.
A Llittle of ” Girl with a Dragon Tattoo” ?
Not quite that dark.
laughed out loud . . . brings to mind George Castanza.
Great take.
Ha! I forgot about George’s misadventure.
Fun, fun. I like when a girl gets what she needs.
Me, too. Thanks for stopping by.
Oh dear. He should have been a bit more complimentary. Foreplay insults will get you nowhere son, especially with a woman who Works for a living.
He’ll be more careful next time.
That was an unexpected ending! Too bad he didn’t realize that it’s best to agree with a woman when she has you tied to the bed. Lesson learned, I suppose!
Or a case or be careful what you ask for!
Did you at least let him go?
I’m sure a member of the hotel’s housekeeping staff untied him…..
Right. What amateur would do this in their own home?
I sure hope he had a LOT of money. Right?! Right?! =) I love thinking about what sorry sap had to untie him. Poor chambermaid. Hope she calls the bellhop for assistance.
By her smile, she must have thought the cash was sufficient. Chambermaids must have a unique take on people.
Thanks so much for linking up to Trifextra. Remember, this weekend’s entries are being judged by the Trifecta community, so I hope you were able to cast your votes. Winners will be announced with the Monday post. Hope to see you back then.

Cool!
Ack – I cant believe I didnt see this one…. I like how you think !
No worries. I haven’t been hanging out here either of late, and thank you – great minds and all that!
